sunday night..

well it's sunday night and we've made it past xmas...nothing really exciting going. I have a pretty nasty cold that I'm just getting over, actually xmas day was the sickest I've felt in a while. I'm not sure how I managed to not get sick for like a year and then get sick right before xmas. Anyways, I have my Dr.'s appt. on Wednesday (New Years Eve) and will know more then! I'll be keeping you posted! Love you guys! -Suz + Bubba C

Dr. Appt. Update

Well I just got out of my Dr.'s appt. and found out that I'm 3 cm's dilated! The Dr. was also able to feel Baby C's head!! Needless to say Chris and I are both pretty shocked. The only reason she checked me out is because I asked her if the baby dropped. I've felt a little "different" and have been wobbling a little to walk around which isn't really like me. Plus people at work starting telling me that the Baby dropped. I didn't really believe them since I've felt like I've carried low the whole time.
It's pretty crazy, I'll be 36 weeks in 3 days and am getting really excited! The Dr. said I could go as early as tonight, but I'm highly doubting that since I don't feel THAT terribly uncomfortable right now. She said Baby would be great to come out now and that it would be an easy labor and they wouldn't stop it. She also said baby would be able to come home from the hospital with us as it's lungs and respiratory system should be fully developed. I just want baby to be healthy and ready!
We shall see when it happens and will keep you posted! PS-- I just added this picture of me to document what I looked like on this day!

Since we were on the topic of the baby's room, I thought I'd post some pictures. Chris just took these and emailed them over. This is baby's bed, complete with 2 boppys. I will keep 1 in the baby's room and 1 in the family room, but I also have a 3rd for the bedroom (not pictured). The laterns above are paper laterns and there are 5 (I like odd numbers). Also on the top far right is the video camera for our monitor that we mounted on the wall, well out of the reach of baby's grasp! This is my futon/bed that I will be crashing in. As you can see on the right side of the wall is a picture that my Mother-In-Law painted of Downtown Buffalo, so we can tell baby about Buffalo. Also, peeking out of the bottom right corner is our Sweetpeace baby swing. I hope baby likes it! On the left is the changing table.
Chris also thought it was be fun to post baby's new ride. This of course is the carseat in the stroller that we will be using for quite some time before we pop in the real stroller seat. Fun times, big rubber wheels for some beach crusin'! Of course we are a family that loves sunscreen, no tans here!

Update

Hi All,
This is just a quick update before Christmas! I am now a few days shy of 36 weeks and am in the home stretch! Chris and I are both very anxious for our little one's arrival! Everything is all set to go in the baby's room (bedding/blankets/clothes are all washed) and the cats have officially been kicked out of there! They are very curious and starting to go a little stir crazy, so I think they know something is going on. My project for the holiday is to pack my hospital bag and have it all set to wait by the door. I have my next appointment tomorrow and am eager to find out if the baby has dropped. I feel like it has, but then again it's felt the low the entire pregnancy.

We have some names picked out and I think we've settled on two (one for each sex), but are really waiting to see what this little bundle looks like before we peg a name on it!

Thank you all for the wonderful Christmas cards as it was great to see all my cousins & nieces & nephews! We miss you all and look forward to seeing you in 2009!! Merry Christmas!

Love, Lil' Sue + Baby

Update 12-2

Well we got to peek at baby one last time!!! The baby was head down with a full belly of food! I like to call that "food coma" because I thought it would be wise to eat an orange and have lemonade right before the appointment so it would be hyper (not that it needs any encouragement in that department). The nurse saw the sex of the baby but did not share much to my mother's dismay. Everything looked good and she even shared with us that the baby has a full head of hair!!! We are really pumped and can't wait to welcome this new little addition! We miss all of you!
